OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Atlas, a new web browser that integrates ChatGPT directly into the browsing experience. Currently available for macOS users with Windows, iOS, and Android versions coming soon, Atlas allows users to interact with web pages through an AI-powered sidebar that can summarize content, answer questions, and assist with tasks without switching tabs. The browser includes a memory feature that learns from browsing habits to provide personalized suggestions and an agent mode for Plus, Pro, and Business subscribers that can complete tasks like booking flights, ordering groceries, or researching topics on the user's behalf. Users maintain control over their privacy, with the ability to disable memories, control which sites ChatGPT can access, and opt out of data training.
