Meta Acquires AI Wearables Startup Limitless

Meta has acquired Limitless, a startup that makes an AI-powered pendant for recording and transcribing conversations. The small wearable device, which clips to clothing or hangs like a necklace, uses artificial intelligence to capture audio, create transcripts, and generate searchable summaries through a companion app. Limitless will stop selling its device to new customers but will support existing users for at least another year. The acquisition strengthens Meta’s efforts to develop AI-enabled wearables as part of its vision for “personal superintelligence,” joining its existing AR and AI glasses products like Ray-Ban Meta. Financial terms were not disclosed.
