Microsoft has launched Copilot Health, an AI assistant that helps consumers manage their health data and prepare for medical appointments. The platform integrates medical records from over 50,000 provider organizations with data from more than 50 wearable devices to create comprehensive health profiles. For eye care professionals, this technology could help patients better understand their vision health history, track patterns in their eye conditions, and come to appointments more prepared with relevant questions and data. The AI can analyze health patterns and provide insights, such as identifying sleep issues that might affect eye health or cardiovascular risks that could impact diabetic retinopathy.
